Hi developers, we've had the current roadmap situation for a year now, and I'm wondering if there are any plans to revisit or tweak it. I understand the background of the change last year. However, the current roadmap offers little insight into priorities or features that will be released soon (probably within the next 12 months). For example, we don't know if the deliverables in the progress tracker contain all tasks for a feature. Thus, we cannot predict whether a feature is paused and the continuation is not yet determined, or whether an expected completion is to be expected. I don't expect a promise, which is what the old roadmap was misunderstood as, but a better sense of what the developers are working on. It would be great to have an indication in the progress tracker which features are already complete with all tasks in the progress tracker, even if this does not have to mean that this feature will be directly included in a patch for planned completion. It would also be helpful to show dependencies between features (e.g. Cargo Refactor and Hull C, PES and Persistent Hangars) to get a better sense of how features build on each other. It is clear to all of us that PES and server meshing combined with the Road to Pyro and version 4.0 are the highest priorities. But beyond that, it is not obvious which features have a high priority. A few examples: EVA T2 was announced several months ago and according to Progress Tracker, this feature is "ready". However, it is unclear whether it is really feature complete, tasks are missing or there are still dependencies. Master Modes were unveiled at CitizenCon last year and the Progress Tracker does not include any additional tasks in the future. In combination with the Scorpius Antares this seems a bit strange, because the Quantum Dampener function probably has to work completely different with the Master Modes. Vehicle Door Improvements were paused and this was also informed about in the Roadmap Roundup, if I remember correctly. But in the progress tracker it is not clear why this was paused and what the blocker is. Hangar Manager App V1 was paused because teams had to coordinate their schedules for 2022. Now it's 2023 and probably there are good reasons why they don't continue working on it, but we don't know them for sure (probably persistent hangars and PES). I want to make it clear that probably most of us don't expect promises as far as scheduling is concerned, but a better classification of priorities and blockers would be appreciated. In the simplest case, a feature is not currently a priority and therefore will not be developed further. But since no priorities beyond the obvious ones (PES, server meshing) are known, this can never be estimated.
