This is a little misleading, as what is meant is planetary flight in general; importantly the gravity well of the planet, and the ships apparent ability to hover in mid air, in whatever orientation, not appearing to struggle against the effects of gravity at all. I'm sure with all the hubbub @jpritchett_cig may peek in to bop us on the head with some truth haha Thanks to the streamers we've been given a wealth of video on ships interacting inside an atmosphere - how indicative is this of the vision game design has for ship performance on a planet? Because as shown at the moment, it just appears as if the ship is floating, pretty much stationary, in the air. Able to easily rotate in any direction as if just pivoted on its' axis in the editor. Are there plans to have ships responding to atmosphere more...randomly? Being buffeted, carefully balancing position of thrusters to stay in position? Moreover, they should surely be reacting more significantly to the gravity, which is where a lot of questions relating to thruster management, inertia, weight, debris patterns are coming from. Clearly everything is to play for EDITS: Added an image of an aurora which was stationary, on it's side, not moving, shooting another stationary target, as well as other weird flight.
