I'd like to avoid the various hot topics and focus on what I find to be an oversight in the allowed characters and restrictions. The apostrophe is used in English and even more heavily many other languages on Earth and I'm curious why it is not an allowed character, especially after seeing the usage rules around dashes which could easily be applied to apostrophes. Now stretching further afield many citizens have Xi'An or Banu ships which they possibly want to name in their native languages which also use characters that aren't allowed in the initial limits (in basic common or native font). Is something we can look forward to opening up down the line or will we always be restricted to UEE Common for ship registration for some lore reason?
