This whole "We're going with engineering for multicrew and soloers can get over it" attitude isnt' going to work long term. I'm not sure if the Devs understand that soloers make up a significant and important port of any MMOs playerbase. Dune: Awakening is a really good example of a recent game where Devs went in to it with the mindset that vision trumps player concerns. If you don't know, they started off with 200k players...they now have 4k active daily players. Part of it was because the excluded soloers from game content. With nearly the exact same mentality about it as evidenced by comments from devs in the Spectrum forums. So are soloers second class star citizens? What other game content can soloers expect to be excluded from? Is it really by design that soloers are just going to be excluded without ANY consideration? Or can you guys not do simple math like 5000 groupers isn't that much different that 5000 soloers. Other than one group gets all the content and the other group is second class star citizen that can be happy they get to play? I don't think I'm being overly dramatic. I think at a baseline any ship with a engineering console is going to be a 2 Crew minimum ship. The Cutless, Freelancer and Terrapin ships have a console. Does that mean we are going to be stuck with ships smaller than a Anvil Terrapin which is the smallest of the three? The Cutlass black has been a staple daily driver for a lot of solo players. Did you get hyper focus on bring the capital ships back inline that you forgot you are screwing over Cutless Black enjoyers? Speaking of the Gutlass Black. Does it make since that a ship with size 3 weapons and 46 scu of cargo be caught up in the same catagory as a Idris? "Its a multicrew ship it needs a crew to run effectively." Or even ships like the Asgard the recently become the daily driver for many players. Maybe you all should do a survey. Pop a question when a player logs in. "Do you play solo exclusively?" with a Yes or No box. Collect some data. Maybe consider not spending 2 decades and a billion+ dollars to be just like the dune guys.
