Hey! I've just noticed that in a lot of the screenshots since we went to PTU, that something rather odd seems to be occurring when viewing planetary bodies (especially from other planetary bodies), you get this strange shading effect, that just looks..., wrong. It reminds me of what it looks like if you put ambient occlusion in the wrong place in a render pipeline, and you get it/the shading bleeding through particles, fog, etc? Not saying it's that, but the oddity of the visual is very similar. Just feels like something is layering incorrectly. I particularly noticed, since this didn't seem to be present in earlier 3.0 builds shown off by CIG, and I believe, was not present even in any leaked Evocati screenshots? It seems to have popped up only after 3.0 was pushed to PTU. (Can't speak as to if it was the first push, or later patches, as I'm not part of PTU yet. Just happened to notice it, and it stood out to me. What's going on here? Is this a bug, as I think it is? Or is it an unfinished intentional effect?
