Hi, this is more of a lore question, So project "Archangel" or Synth world is a way for the UEE to wash away their terraforming sins, by making a new world in order to never have to take, destroy or terraform another planet. Yet, for the creation of this Synth world, they are terraforming more planets to get the required resources, and even selling whole planets to corporations in order to finance the project. Is this not a bit contradictory? like terraforming planets so they don´t have to terraform more planets? It seems the amount of resources involved in this project are so massive that the UEE is even destroying natural planets to create this. The fact or explanation that the UEE has invested so much in it, so they are obsessed to see its competition is just another example of the sunken cost fallacy. At some point the people of the UEE has to realize the absurdity of this endeavor. So the question are: Are there activist that oppose this project? Nature, civil, alien rights group? Do the UEE economist have no say in this? Are there darker motives for this ? Maybe as a way to keep the economic balance and structure or so? As a way to purchase and sell commodities to "regulate" their prices? Will it ever implode on the face of the UEE? Thx for any info you can give.
