@JCrewe_CIG Dear CIG, With the new ship stats, it has become clear that the Terrapin has been classed into the 'Pathfinder' Role. This strikes many of us as odd: The Terrapin, while being a small ship, had always been described as a very long range ship¹, that would be spending "days, if not weeks and months, out of port".² To this effect, the Terrapin used to have 2 Medium Size fuel tanks³ and 2 Utility mounts (one large, one medium)⁴. However, as with the introduction of the new stats pages, the Terrapin has been changed into the 'Pathfinder' role: "These ships are the small, single seater, solo exploration ships such as the Terrapin. Designed for single person short term sessions (...)"⁵ and the fuel tanks seem to have been changed into 2 Small Size fuel tanks. My question is: Did the Terrapin get an intended role change? Or was this role-change unintentional, and should the Terrapin be classified into the Expedition role? ¹) As described in the design brief, as shown in page September 2016 JumpPoint issue 'Outward-Bound', the Terrapin Brochure, the Terrapin Q&A part I and part II, ²) The Terrapin Q&A part I, ³) The medium sized fuel tanks have been described in the Terrapin Brochure, page 19, ⁴) The Terrapin Brochure, page 17, ⁵) The The Shipyard - Careers and Roles.
