Okay so the launch of the Mercury Star runner has gone over as well, as a lead balloon with holes in it. It would be rude, If the developers let anyone rent the MSR on the same day as it is added to the accounts of owners. That would be a huge middle finger. What we received instead, is that the rest of the community, those that have not paid anything for the ship, get to fly the ship a day before it gets added to the owner's accounts. At this point the developers would have to work, and make a lot of last-minute changes to get up to the point of insulting their backers. In the future, to avoid obvious fuck-ups ships should be released in a reasonable fashion. The schedule should be: Evocati > 1st wave owners > the rest of the first wave > 2nd wave owners > the rest of the 2nd wave > and then to the PU. Streamers should gain access to the ship when they would otherwise access the ship in the above schedule. They should not gain arbitrary special privileges, since there are streamers that are already owners and are already first wave. Allowing random streamers, that have not put in the work, to leapfrog the line is insulting to the people that have put in the work, the time, and the money to be there first. The release of the starrunner has been a debacle. It just has been. Let's learn from this and not do it in the future.
