As a long-time backer (from 2013) who started playing regularly since 3.9, it's always struck me as bizarre how over the past three years little-to-no progress has been made in making all clothing available in-game wearable by female characters. Certainly, women make up a minority of players, and many players aren't even aware that female characters can't wear many hats and jackets available to males. Given the importance of making all players feel welcome and included in Star Citizen, it seems well overdue. It seemed vaguely understandable when some items were listed as "not available in women's sizes" (presumably because of technical limitations?), but plenty of time has passed now. I felt genuinely excluded when I realised that the Daredevil jacket and MC-DFA hat were simply swapped out with generic substitutions - at first I thought it was a bug! Even if a certain existing hat or jacket or shoe doesn't look great on a female character, why not instead make an alternate female-specific version that does? Please make all clothes and equipment wearable by either gender, either as identical items or as tailored gender-specific versions. If for some technical reason you absolutely aren't able to adapt an item to fit the female model (eg. the Daredevil jacket), why not create different female-specific items to balance it out, like, say a cool leather bodice, or halter top? Did you ever notice there are no skirts or dresses in SC? Sure, some folks want to be amazon warriors all the time, but it would also be nice to have fashion choices that aren't just pink space armour. I get that nobody wants to go back and put more time/effort into digital assets that are already "done", but if the items can't be worn by everyone, the job's not finished yet. Please show the female players of SC that we matter, too. Nobody wants to feel like a second-class (star) citizen.
