Hello everyone! This is my first 'Ask the Devs' post so please bear with me on this. My question revolves around player and organization interaction in the verse as it relates to locations. It's mostly this: In the future, will we be able to buy/rent hangars/apartments/areas in the verse for ourselves or our organizations? Furthermore, have there been any changes to these ideas and if so, could you tell us what they are? Recently, we were shown on ISC (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMb2Is-Fb1I) the concepts on homesteads and how modular they are, but not much as far as apartment buildings. Any updates would make me tremendously grateful. I can already hear people comparing this to GTA V, wherein you can buy apartments, garages, etc to store your items in; it's a good comparison, but I am hoping for something a little more... expanded upon. Namely, being able to rent hangar spaces or even industrial areas for your organization to utilize to it's fullest potential. Way back in 2019, there was a lore piece that piqued my interest in that regard: Brothers in Arms (https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/serialized-fiction/16942-Brothers-In-Arms-Part-One). In it, the company we follow, Rhedd Alert, rent or own a hangar, which they personalize to suit them. Though I know CIG is working on iCache and server meshing, which, without either, would most likely make it difficult or impossible to implement, but I would love to know if this is planned at any point.
