I can't wait to be the commander of a flotila with the ability to tell all of my ships full of npcs and maybe some players when they are online where to go by having waypoints, movement lines, instructions, designated targets, etc appear on their huds! 1 Player using a command blade and holo-interface directing 20 capital ships and countless non-capital ships under its control. The true dream of a Spaceman. This is all planned, right? We aren't going to be forced to never be able to control entire fleets of ships in a game that will have coordinated fleet vs fleet combat? CR: The idea of the command and control, I think maybe you've seen the dogfight footage. We have this holo-radar sphere, so a lot of time the command and control's just gonna be a much bigger, more detailed version of that were you can see all the different ships, their holograms, the actual ships themselves flying around, and you can click on them and get information on them. You can click here and say you attack here, or you defend this person, and essentially you'll be tasking instructions and orders out to the ships. If they're NPC runned, then obviously the NPCs will obey you, and if they're player run, you're getting instructions from the commander that has a full battle tactical view, and telling you what to do. Hopefully if your organization plays as a team, then you'll listen to those controls and commands. -Source: 10FTC Ep. 19 - 16m59s Update: Single player fleets will be allowed to be larger than 2 ships. Will there be any consideration to removing the spawning ship requirements when loading your own fleet? For example, when we spawn the third vehicle, the first vehicle we spawned will despawn. Ultimately, yes. The current limitations are there as a temporary measure. https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/engineering/18365-Q-A-Anvil-Liberator
