Is there any chance of getting an update on how Scanning and Radar currently work and or are going to work in 3.20 if there will be a change between now and then? Pre 3.18, a ship scan could be done at a 70% or greater scan range and would populate all possible info. This allowed smaller "scout" ships with lower detection ranges to remain undetected while obtaining the cargo details of a target ship. Post 3.18 the scan range was upped to 90% or greater for a fully populated scan. While not a big deal if the target isn't in their ship or outside looking up, it does put a damper on stealth scanning if the target is in his seat. 90% scan range is essentially one step away from just knocking on the targets door and asking them to lower their ramp so you can have a look. It would also be great to have a formula for calculating ship detection ranges so that scouts can know how close to a target they can get without having their pip pop up on the targets hud. While previously searching for this information I came across this formula: DetectedSignature = (EmittedSignature - (Ambience x (1 - RadarPierce)) ) x RadarSensitivity Would it be possible to get a real ship breakdown example of this formula in action, that might help my smooth brain comprehend it. What are the values for "RadarPierce" and "RadarSensitivity"?
