Hi, Please can something be done to protect us miners and cargo-runners from huge losses in time and aUEC due to 30k errors? We've been putting up with it for years already, and something really needs to be done please. It's ruining gameplay. I just wasted an hour filling up my ROC with hadanite, only to have the game suddenly 30k and lose it all. It really sucks. I didn't even feel like playing afterwards because honestly, what's the point? It's probably just going to do the same thing again anyway. It's such a downer. It kills my enthusiasm. And here's the thing: You already have something in-place that is 30k-proof: Personal Inventory. When I am mining in my ROC, after my first load I fill up my backpack so if it 30k's on me, at least it's not a complete waste of my time, because I can log back in after the 30k and my backpack is still full of Hadanite. So until the day comes in about 3 years or whenever, when there are no more 30k errors, in order to protect us against 30k's, all you guys need to do is give us a second personal inventory - you can call it something different like an "Industrial Inventory" but it works just like our current backpacks do. All mined substances and cargo can be moved to it, and moved back to a ship/ROC just like we can do with the backpack and the ROC already. This is just a temporary measure until you eventually get rid of 30k errors. So the way it would work is like this: Mining: 1. Mine a rock to completion using either a ROC or Prospector. 2. We manually click a button on the HUD that says "Move hopper contents to Industrial Inventory". 3. The stuff we just mined is now moved to our second, much larger personal inventory - Industrial Inventory - and is now safe from 30k's. 4. We can then fly back to a station and sell it. We can still lose it if we die on the way back. But at least it is safe from 30k's. Alternatively, just make the mineable hopper storage into a second personal inventory - so the ROC's and Prospector's hoppers are basically giant backpacks, so far as the game is concerned. Cargo: 1. Whenever we buy cargo commodities, they are loaded onto the ship as normal but each ship has it's own "Industrial Inventory" that works just like our Personal Inventory. So it's like each ship we own has a giant backpack in it (as far as the game thinks of it), and that's where all the cargo goes. This way it's always safe from 30k's, but can still be lost if the ship is actually destroyed. This method shouldn't be too taxing on the servers - it's just a commodity name and a quantity. The cargo can still be shown graphically in the cargo hold as normal. If you can't give each ship it's own giant backpack (so-to-speak) then just give us one huge Industrial Inventory on our character and allow us to move cargo into it once purchased. You can call it whatever you like in-game such as a button on the HUD that says "Secure Cargo" etc. We can't sell that cargo until it's moved out of Industrial Inventory and back into the ship. So we'd buy the cargo, get in the ship, hit Secure Cargo, the cargo is moved to our Industrial Inventory and is safe from 30k's, we fly to the station to sell it at, turn off Secure Cargo, it's moved back to the regular ship cargo, and now we can go in the station and sell it as normal. These are just my own ideas of how to do this. I'm obviously not a dev, but I think something like this could work. It's basically an extension of the Personal Inventory system we already have, but used to keep our cargo and mineables safe from 30k's until we are ready to sell them. Please consider doing this, we understand it's an alpha and things like 30k's and server crashes are going to happen, and we don't mind having to reload the game and respawn our ship, but please just do this so we can at least not lose our hard-earned cargo and mineables. Thank you, Apollo.
