Over the years I’ve watched and listened to hundreds of livestreams, backers and friends say what they feel exploration will be like in the Star Citizen universe. To be honest I still don’t know. Don’t get me wrong I’ve seen inklings here and there. We saw spelunking a cave in the Anvil Carrack trailer, the Banu artifact from the Pyro III presentation at CitizenCon and beautiful landscapes being traversed by a RSI Lynx. We saw a presentation about scanning systems with probes with the Anvil Carrack and who could forget the landing of the RSI Constellation on a planet with the (2001) monolith? STILL these were just hints and snippets of Chris Roberts’ vision of the Star Citizen universe. 12 years into this vision and journey has allowed backers to dream, theorycraft and manufacture our own universe which I believe could be close but could also be far and away from the vision Chris Roberts wants to make reality. We’ve all been influenced by our favorite television shows, books, and movies (and even human history) as to what space exploration might look like in the verse. I believe most of us may have to jettison our vision and be ready for what exploration means to Chris Roberts and CIG. Are we ready for that? Will backers push back if it doesn’t fit the mold that’s cemented into their minds over the years? As someone whose fleet leans toward exploration more than any career in Star Citizen I’d like to present the question to Chris Roberts (CIG)… “What details can you share with us as to what exploration will look like in the Star Citizen universe?” Thanks!
