I ask because unless I missed something I can't see anything about it on the roadmap and in my opinion this is an essential cornerstone of an mmo game which should go in as early as possible, even if in an alpha version. The first step I'd expect is getting the bed logout feature to save and load correctly regardless of server instance. I assume we're quite close to getting this so 3.1? Perhaps more importantly though is the handling of persistence after player disconnection and subsequent reconnection. Handling this well is essential considering the expected instability during this alpha release process. The "Unknown" location of your ship that we get at the moment after a de-sync is frustrating to say the least. At a minimum, as a quick fix your ship should go back with you to Port Olisar. As development continues I'd expect more complete persistence functionality where eventually you would be able to jump back into the game where you left off, even after a crash (for a limited time obviously as you are meant to log out correctly to ensure permanent persistence). I was just wondering where this sat on the release schedule?
