I saw an interesting Ray's Guide today on YT (see attached) that pointed out that Pyro has been overbuilt - the system no longer matches its lore (or the IRL state of the average solar system) at all. Each planet so far demonstrated is now suddenly life-bearing, water bearing and habitable - more so than Stanton - when Pyro is supposed to be all lifeless, blasted or pushed out of orbit - rocky, mined out, un-terraformed hell holes similar to our own solar system and worse, blasted by pulsar-like radation. As it is now, Pyro does not make a good candidate for lawless system at all - with so much livable/near livable real estate it would be attractive to companies and settlers and therefore organisations with enough force to enforce control - just like Stanton. Why didn't the planet tech team stick to the in-lore descriptions of unlivable hell holes and iterated new planet tech advancements into building other systems? I think the lore Pyro makes much more sense for it's intended history/purpose than what has been built. Could the Planet Tech team take a week or two to spin up the lifeless balls of rock the majority of the Pyro systems are meant to be and use the new planets they've created in other more appropriate systems? Rather than CIG retconing the lore instead and ignoring how silly it is to have an 'abandoned for lack of resources or safe living area' label on a system with four at least partially habitable planets - one of which you don't even seem to need life support gear on. The same YT video pointed out that the rework of Loreville is completely at odds with the dictatorship oligarchy of the Hurstons - who would never allow any buildings to match let alone excceed, the height of the HD building. The new city is also much too prosperous looking - on Hurston only the Hurstons are allowed money/power thus the CBD is the only area that should not look like a work camp. If the location reflects the lore, no one else would be allowed to display or gain prosperity to match the CBD area. Frankly, the existing Lore matches the current city much better. Any rework should spread the city out into squat, ugly, soul breaking shapes with the HD building looming over it all like a mencing, watching, giant overseer, rather than being built into a glittering modern, if dark, cityscape. Is there a reason Lore and and Art teams are diverging so much lately?
