( Star Citizen | 3.6.1 | Functional NPC-AI Turret Operators Confirmed https://youtu.be/xa6p9hzuRH0 ) Notice that the NPC/AI Turret Operators selected and fired at multiple targets within the same field of fire. Notice that they prioritized and deprioritized targets based on some criteria (idk, range maybe?). Notice that they cease firing immediately when all targets are outside of their fields of fire and/or firing range. Also, notice that breaking in and killing the pilot did satisfy the mission objective. There is no question in my mind that this feature could be available to the Players of Star Citizen if CIG chose to implement it. Simple commands could be mapped to key-bindings: "Fire at My Target" (Exclusively Prioritize My Target)(Friendly or Not, Fire) "Engage All Enemies" (Any Enemy in Range) "Missile Defense" (Prioritize Incoming Missiles then Any Enemy in Range) "Cease Firing" (Do Not Fire at Anything) Maybe we need to make some noise to get it in game now?!!! This video is a MUCH BETTER demonstration of the NPC/AI Turret Operators functioning as I would expect them to. Their aim seemed to be a little better than those from my last video in the Nine Tails Andromeda. I captured a Nine Tails Hammerhead from a Bounty Mission and ran it against its own kind (the pirate faction known as Nine Tails). I managed to take down a Nine Tails Buccaneer, Andromeda, and Caterpillar before the server crashed. (I think "they" were watching me) NPC/AI Turret Operators are in-game now. Why are they not available to players? IDK! But this was AWESOME!
