Why are Cargo Elevators on the side? @narativeDefs Most space stations—as well as most hangars on planets—were built by the UEE or its affiliated organizations. This includes those in the Pyro System. Similarly, most ships were built by the UEE or its affiliated companies. Historically, the Hercules C2 was specifically designed to enable rapid loading and transport. The stations in Stanton are relatively new; I seriously wonder why they weren’t built with these aspects in mind. Most ships have a loading ramp at the bow or stern. The UEE is a military-oriented organization and should prioritize efficiency. It just doesn’t make sense to me. In my opinion, the current hangar designs are inefficient. Currently, the focus is on the ship spawning process. That’s fine if you’re looking at a new ship just once—maybe even with a cinematic camera move. But that only applies to the very first time you spawn the ship. After that, the goal is actually greater efficiency; that spawn terminal at the front is then rather irrelevant—the ASOP terminals are, after all, sufficiently distributed throughout the rest of the hangar. Since most ships have their cargo bays at the front or rear, the cargo lift should be positioned exactly there. I don’t think we need many of them; they just need to be placed sensibly. If I were running a space station, I would position my cargo lift to ensure maximum efficiency. I'm reaching out to the story team because this doesn't make sense to me, and I hope you can explain it to me—or do something about it. P.S.: Apologies if my English didn't sound very formal; it's not my native language. I have tweaked it a bit, though.
