Instead of redesigning all of the ships, just make the new 1 SCU boxes 1m cubed.... problem solved! Doorways were all designed for 1m boxes to go through them and all cargo layouts drawn on the ship floors are designed for 1m boxes to fit... so why WHY did you make them 1.25m?? I hope this was an oversight/mix-up between art and design teams and not intentional; but if it was, what was the rationale? Are you planning to completely redesign every ship interior in the game to work in this new system? A hand held box is 1/8 an SCU and 1/2 meter cubed... it fits in every grid perfectly; if you put 8 of them together you get 1m cubed, NOT 1.25m cubed. (edited for correction and clarity) If I could summarize this entire concept it would be with this: 1 SCU is 1,000,000 micro SCU, or 100 units of goods. No meters are involved there. The SCU box physicalized is 1.25 meter... which is dumb, it should be 1 meter, because that is the measurement in which ships are designed and all distance in the game is measured. Changing that value has no bearing on the game definition of an SCU. 1 SCU of cargo is still 1 SCU of containers and 1 SCU of ship space. The only "change" would be that ships would carry more SCU of cargo.
