It's a long lasting issue and I cannot remember if it first started with 3.17 or 3.18 when CIG added a Keybind to request getting (arrival) or opening (departure) a Hangar. Anyway, since a couple of patches now the ship owner need to sit in the pilot seat to request the hangar to be opened. Previously we've been able to do that remotely from the station, e. g. directly from the ASOP where we spawn the ship and call ATC via MobiGlass. As my IC Report https://issue-council.robertsspaceindustries.com/projects/STAR-CITIZEN/issues/STARC-101431 got closed with the reason "Thanks for the report! While this is valid feedback, we have to close this as it's not a bug. We encourage the discussion to continue on Spectrum." I'd like to start the discussion here :wink: (Btw. that ICR got 20 contributions almost overnight before it been archived, which tells me "the struggle is real") From my perspective and also the perspective of the players I talked to, this change removed some Quality of Live. We see no need to make it complicated like this. I don't want to run into the hangar, sit in the pilot seat, call ATC just to exit the seat and leave the ship with my teammate. It would be far more comfortable to have the option back to call ATC from MobiGlass. If it is just a teammate who want to testdrive a ship or in trainings calling a ship for someone who does not have an equivalent to participate to the training - this new "feature" is just annoying to everyone, the owner and the intended pilot. Also IRL I dare to doubt every single pilot calling ATC owns the departing plane :wink: Please CIG, give us back the option to call ATC remotely via MobiGlass.
