Hi Devs, is there a reason why you use double precision floating point instead of 64 bit long integer values for the positioning within the grid? The main problem is the "machine error" created by recurring binary fractions of 2^-52: Assumed a maximum sized star system with about 35000 AU diameter (approx. 5,200,000,000,000 km) your calculation error would be 2,6x10^12 x 2^-52 km = 0,577 m which you might see considerably as "Jittering" during fast travelling Assuming still a large sized star system with about 300 AU diameter (approx, 45,000,000,000 km) your calculation error would be 2,25x10^10 x 2^-52 km = 5 mm which is still something you will recognize while travelling fast, at the outer perimeter of the universe star system thank you and regards G.OEI
