First of all: I know that the title can possibly be provocative, and that's the intention. I would like to vent my anger with the following lines: Some ships are currently suffering from what could be described as "critical" or "unplayable". I would like to give a few examples. Let's start with the Hercules A2: This ship currently has the bug that suddenly after claiming, completely wrong bomb racks (MSD-313) are installed instead of the standard, normally non-interchangeable A2-10210 racks (Issue council: #STARC-46091). These MSD-313 racks can be removed, but no others can be installed, which ultimately means that no Colossus bombs can be equipped. The A2 Hercules can therefore by no means fulfill its function as a military bomber. The ship is almost completely unusable! So why should I spend just under $900 for this? For an "expansion pack" that doesn't even work? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ It continues with the stealth bombers, such as the Aegis Eclipse or the Retaliator: Why should I invest hundreds of dollars here too, when these ships have become more or less unusable due to the still ongoing restock problems? An Eclipse costs just under $400 and a Retaliator around $300. There are reports in the issue council with almost 300 contributors, confirmed in August 2021, so for a year! (#STARC-12851) And the status is still "confirmed" instead of "under investigation" or even better "fixed".. However, other bug reports such as #STARC-2936 or #STARC-32847 are titled as "fixed" when that's not true! So here again the question: Why spend tons of real money for useless "expansion packs"? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ And there are other examples, like the MISC Freelancer series: Actually a pretty cool ship: It's relatively easy to fly, has a certain cargo capacity and, as an "MIS variant", is even equipped with many missiles, which makes it suitable for combat. But here we have the same problem again: Internal missiles cannot be reloaded. And all for a real money price of just over $200 USD? No thank you! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I am fully aware that we are in an alpha phase here, which of course also has to be funded. I like the game and the vision behind it, and I've also spent many hours of fun playing in the universe. But nevertheless there are things, but above all bugs, which in my very personal opinion have to be fixed as soon as possible instead of bringing new features and accordingly new bugs into the game. Finally, a big appeal to the developers: Please fix the bugs that make playing the game almost impossible! Eliminate the game breaking issues like non-functional ships, suddenly exploding ships, non-functional elevators, non-equipable or non-tangible inventory, game crashes and game freezes, unusable friends- and party lists, etc. Then finally we players/testers all have fun playing again and are happy to support you financially.
