Hello ! Do planets with the same type of atmosphere will have the same creatures and flora on it ? Logically, there should be different for all existing planets, as the evolution process didn't followed the same path, but it would be gigantic to have each planets with a different ecosystem.... What is the direction followed for Star Citizen world ? I can think of some hypothesis, to reduce the diversity, like settlers that came with their own animals and plants, of terraforming that destroyed all previous life type, but that is just excuses for some cases, not at the scale of the game universe. How will this be explained ? In a technical thinking, maybe using genetical algorithm with planets differences as modifiers, to have adaptable creatures, then select some of them and iterate (or keeping it as bases and design from this) ? And / or machine learning to learn what creature is better than else and improve the results ? I think procedurally generated creature could be a solution, but really hard to have good results. In a ISC (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dqb8DQpNHiM), we saw work in progress on some creatures. They seems amazing, and really cool, but that's only 2 creatures on 2 different planet. How will this be adaptated to the scale of your universe ? Thanks for your answers !
