Hey guys, i've been using my current simpit for 1.5yrs now, and although it looks cool and all, it is pretty useless. It is a big console with two lcd screens and a flightsim control panel, placed very unhandy. (see pic) (NEW SIMPIT) (OLD SIMPIT) i use the Logitech x52 HOTAS, and i have two Cougar MFD's which i mostly use for Discord. The most buttons i use, are on the hotas. My mainscreen is a HD LED projector on a 66" screen. I actually really like this way of playing. I know it's no 4k resolution, but it's fine by me. Like i said before, i'm not satified with this setup and am planning a new setup. More like a real cockpit, comparible with a car for reference, with actual working buttons and knobs. So i took a piece of paper and started designing my new setup. Tried to put much tought into the button layout. This is what i came up with: As soon as the design was finished i had to figure out how i can actually create such buttons that will work in SC. A little research on internet soon brought LeoBodnar under my attention. He creates PCB's that act like a Joystick (BU0836A). So i ordered one, together with a few 'test' buttons. I recieved all the goodies today and immediatly started testing the buttons... Hell yeah! it all works flawlessly! Oke.. lets really look at what i need now... I ordered all the buttons and rotary knobs i need, going to the stores tommorow to get me the wood panels and all. I'm also changing my chair. Going to the local car graveyard to pick a nice US carseat. This gets me lower to the ground, and will give me more immersion i think. All 'n all, i'm super hyped to start up this new project again :slightly_smiling_face: I will keep you guys informed on the progress!
