This was something I just threw together over the years with the idea of a general use simpit. When I discovered starcitizen I decided to finally pick a direction and get a little more serious. It will still be good for general use but I intend to make some specialized panels for Starcitizen and lay things out to be more FPS friendly as well. Figured I'd share when I have so far as its really quite usable now. Very Early revision The chair was the best thing Ive ever done in my gaming history. Had it laying around as a leftover from a 91 Suzuki Sidekick. Mounted it on a few pieces of wood and it stayed like that for years until I got my hands on a Warthog setup. Decided center mount would leave some more room for mouse and broke out the welder. Frankly I love the stick center mounted, forearm will rest on my leg and I can fly for hours with no fatigue. Seating taken care of I needed to start thinking long term. Decided to keep it modular in case I ever had to move things. Both side consoles are detachable. Left side is hinged like a door for easy access in and out. Made with MDF and uses angle aluminum with clipnuts on the inside so the panels all bolt together. I can stand and jump on these, they are STRONG. The throttle is inset on the left cabinet so its flush. The long term goal for these is to have full backlit switch panels on both sides and up front. Made a quick and dirty mount for the Thrustmaster MFD's and it sat this way for a year or so. Pay no attention to the co-pilots Turns out the modular design was a good idea. It all broke down in the course of a few hours and was easy to set back up at the new place. Made a few additions, finally added the top, angled the MFD's. Finished the Saitek Throttle Quadrant project also, old non USB versions converted with a Bodnar controller. Next major addition will be to eliminate the boxes used for raising the mouse pad and FPS keypad with something that will swing off to the side and still be strong and stable, as well as a way to move the keyboard in\out and tilt for easy access. I have a box of Pi's, Arduinos, and LCDs to adapt to the project as well.
