I think there will still be some adjustments made. I like this setup so much better than my previous method of my laptop sitting on a TV tray. I have a nice comfy chair next to my bed that used to mostly just hold clothes. But it has these lovely flat wood arms. So I velcro'd two Logitech Extreme joysticks to the arms. This TV tray setup was OK, but streaming was a pain without a second screen. So I added my Fire 10 tablet with the second screen software SuperDisplay. It worked great, but it still wasn't quite right. I wanted to play on a larger monitor. I had an extra older 23" Sceptre monitor that is perfect for gaming. So I took some measurements and found a stand that was a perfect fit height (25") and width (23") wise for my chair. The small sit/stand desk is a cheap ($69) SIDUCAL Mobile Stand Up Desk from Amazon. I left the incredibly cheap wheels off and just stuck some felt chair pads on the metal legs to keep from scratching the floor up. The two halves of the desk can be adjusted to any height I need. Now the 23" monitor sits just over the top of my laptop screen and is tiled down at a slight angle. It works very nicely and the whole desk can easily be slid out of the way by removing the right joystick from the velcro. I have power coming in from the left along the wall to keep any cords mostly hidden and out of the way. I got a Cable Matters Desk clamp powerstrip that has six AC outlets, 2 USB-A and 1 USB-C outlets. So I can charge a phone, table, and plug in my laptop cooling tray along with the monitor and laptop. I can easily at an LED light for video, and charging for my mouse or other peripherals should I need to. The laptop is plugged into power and an Anker USB-C hub that has the HDMI and both Joysticks plugged in. It would be awesome if I could also do power pass through here but my Lenovo Legion 5 Pro needs a 130w power supply for full gaming power and the highest I can get with USB-C is 100w. That would be enough to charge the battery under normal usage, but not with Star Citizen level gaming. So USB-C charging is sadly not a thing yet. I think I will probably get another power supply so I can keep one attached and tied down to the rig to make things was easy as possible. The only thing that I'm not totally happy with is how Star Citizen uses the external monitor. The external monitor is a 1920x1200 monitor so I'm able to easily use Star Citizen in windowed mode, but sadly Star Citizen doesn't seem to care about the color scheme for windows. Even though I have Windows 11 set for a dark theme, Star Citizen insists on a bright white title bar for their window. Any tips out there for using a secondary monitor with Star Citizen? Overall I'm very pleased with my sub $200 "SimPit" :slightly_smiling_face:
