I am looking for a strong web developer to work with me to complete the project and bring it up to a higher standard. Below is a description of the project I'm working on. If you think you have the skills and interest to work with me I'd love to hear from you. There's a very cool project underway building out a virtual MFD's for Star Citizen and other games. It's been highly praised, and looks great! Well I’ve been working on my own version. It might not look as great as the other one, but that's what I want you for. I'm really excited about what I've done, and I've purposefully kept the design simple as I want it to be easily changed by the community. I've been working on it for a good while now. I originally started the concept as a virtual version of the StreamDeck hardware device. When I saw it I thought it was really cool and heard a lot of great things about it. But then I thought how it looked a lot like my tablet, so I searched for software to turn my tablet into a virtual game controller, but couldn't find anything that I wanted, so I set out to make my own. I'm focusing my design on the community. I'm building a fully customizable platform to make it easy for gamers to create their own virutal panels (vMFD) to interact with their favorite games such as Star Citizen or Elite Dangerous or even CoD. And, I plan on providing a web portal where they can easily share their vMFDs with others. So as a gamer you can jump right in and start playing your favorite game, or create a new panel for that old game you haven't played in a year but still love to go back to time and again. The magic of my design is in a small piece of code that will run on the gaming server. It allows the tablets/phones to easily send requests to the computer which can mimic keystrokes. So no more having to remember what "L" does in one game or what "Control-D" does in another game. Just map them all once, or download one that's already been done by the community and you're off and running. Most of us have been doing this for years with our Joysticks that are programmable and our mice that have extra buttons. Now I'm creating a highly customizable virtual app for your tablet. Also, my app doesn't require anything to install on the client tablet. Just a small driver on the game PC and the rest is web based, so it'll work with even older tablets and phones, or even PC's, laptops, and chromebooks. Do you have a new touchscreen PC, you can use it too! Build out the virtual cockpit of your dreams! The core system is done, and the samples below are fully functional. I’m now looking to hire someone to help me polish my existing html/css templates and work with me to build out a modern community site for it, to make it easy for the community to share templates with each other. If you know of a good web guy/gal who’s also artistic, and might be interested in this project, please private message/email me @ quadgnim@jedi-temple.com, or private message me here on the forum. Here’s a link to a fully working sample pages for Star Citizen and Elite Dangerous. It took me less than an hour to put the templates together. I'm sure for the more avid pilots there's other combinations that would work better, and we can easily adjust it. Note: The samples below represent the client only. As you don't have the game server installed they wont actually do anything, but the game server is fully functional.
