Looking for some ideas with mounting a rotating arm 80x40 (yellow above) to my GT Omega Prime simpit. It already has Monitor, etc. Now want two flight sticks, one side is easy as there is a fixed support. But the other is empty so I can get in and out. Only option is to mount a rotating arm is some form to allow in/out access. Goal is "quick" or at least not too messy locking mechanism. Plus be stable enough for gaming. Current idea: So the Dark Green parts is the GTO Prime rig (right side). Then also green is attached a fixed 80x40 120mm that will act as a block to the rotation. (I have concerns about this casing snags) The White 40x40 will have multiple Aluminum 4040 hinges (side you can't see) so it can rotate anticlockwise. The orange are 90 degree joining brackets, but only attached to the Green 80x40, used to rest the arm on when in position. Only for stability. The blue block is a Joining Plate that I will have two Quick Release / Clamping Levers. I will loosen it so it can move in and out from the Green 40 channel to the Yellow Arm once the channels line up. Then clamp into place. This is the main locking device Optional not in drawing would a second Joining plate on left side using the same idea if I need more stability. Key concern is can a 40x40 rotate that so close to another 40x40 section without getting stuck? Worst case its dremel time... but really don't like dremel time! :disappointed: Any good ideas, seems like something people would have tried before using different approaches?
