with the suggestions on some tablet options in another thread, I went ahead and made the dashboard for my volair sim pit... two cougar MFDs, two Asus Z380m 8" tablets behind the MFDs, and a samsung Tab S2 9.7" in the center (to run gameglass or another such program). Got the tablets refurbished on ebay for $70 each, and the S2 was open box/refurb. looked brand new still in plastic when I opened the box. Anyway, the pic is from todays test puting it all together. I'll take more pics of the layout when I take it apart next week. plan to sand it up nice. sanding sealer, paint it black, and then spray on several coats of poly, then polish. I'll update with more pics after I finish it up.
