Hello citizens I wanted to show you my retractable HOTAS desk mount. I was tired of having the stick and throttle on the desk the whole time and have to remove it when I wanted to use the desk, as the X56 is quite big. So I was searching the internet for some retractable hotas mounts. All I found doesn't seem to fit my needs, so I "built" them myself. I used two VESA ceiling TV mounts, two aluminum profiles which fitted the holes for the VESA mounts and some screws. Some steel angle and some plywood to mount the throttle and the stick to the VESA mounts. I taped the aluminum profiles to the desk first, as I didn't know if the IKEA Malm desk would hold the screws properly (The desk seems to be hollow). But everything was holding quite well. But now the keyboard and mouse were quite far away, so I also bought a cheap keyboad drawer with mousepad. What do you think? I know the cable management is a mess right now, but I will fix it soon.
