So I've been building a simpit honestly just for this game over the last two years gathering parts here and as there's no rush. Also this is my home desktop so comfort and ergonomics is key along with functionality. Here's the idea so I've got an Obutto Rev3 and I need a new chair as the stock one sucks. The main reason I've been looking into the DXRacer is that some of the models they make, the base seat recline locks similar to the angle a fighter ejection seat has, making it perfect for comfort and ergonomically viable for my setup. So these are my thoughts, Either attaching it to the frame directly or... making it so the chair slides along a rail system with the chairs wheels. Now a key note is that i have an FSSB R3 and I fear i'll lose accuracy if I take out a support if I use the rail system as the chair would have to slide between my throttle and stick which mounts to the frame. I've thought about the swivel of the chair and i've got an idea on how to keep it locked straight (we'll see if it works) for use with my crosswinds also it would be kinda cool to jump into my pit like the 300 series. Another issue is the gas lift the chair uses I believe it is fairly high compared to the Obutto height and I would have to raise the frame itself to be ergonomically viable. Don't worry about the keyboard tray as its not applicable in this setup. Anyhow I've been lurking here forever watching the geniuses you guys are and what amazing setups y'all have and I value this community's input, hell maybe ya'll have been toying around with something similar.
