the joystick\throttle and mouse\keyboard will all be on sliders. with speakers mounted on each corner of the desk. Below is the first frame being built. its all structural pine 70mm*35mm each frame is 1500mm long. after taking those photos it looked twisted at the bottom, added some more cross beams at the back that straighened all out. the finished frame with panels is around 410mm wide. 820mm tall at the highside and 620mm tall at the low. Here are the two frames waiting for table top, gap filling and sanding, and painting. I drilled room for all the screw heads to hide so i can end up with a single flat surface on each side. the gap between the two sides is planned to be 600mm wide to fit the chair. next up build the HOTAS sliders for each side looking standard drawer sliders and a couple of L brackets, will see how stable that is first. more panels on the inside to support the keyboard slider. remeasure the gap\test chair and cut table top to size. another sanding run Paint. build cost in AUD $220 for the Timber, brackets, screws, sliders $100 for paint (3 liters...) Progress update. Its more or less feature complete. Read to be cleaned up and painted
