So with the "Off-Road" Simulator in full swing, and the "Retro" version ready for fab, I need to address the "Transportation" Simulator (I'll be doing some trips to the dunes and desert in the coming years). I've looked at used RVs, but most are either larger than I need or insanely expensive for the compact models. So I began looking for other options. I was amazed at the prices which you can pick up used and decommissioned ambulances for. My design will need to incorporate capabilities for light camping w/basics (sink, two-burners, microwave, fridge, port-a-pot, shower). Add entertainment system, hardwood flooring, tile the kitchen area wall, narrow bed, workstation area, race radio base station and charging station for handhelds, fueling station, outdoor shower, side awning, exterior TV, exterior sound system, generator, solar charger. Backup and security camera systems, etc. All pretty simple mods, really. I want to stay with a big diesel for towing an open car trailer. Maybe the larger box/module (there is at least one size up from "standard urban" before hitting "medium duty", but I wouldn't rule out the larger rig). There are also 4x4's (but that pretty much doubles the price). Off-road custom bumpers and 12000 winch. Throw a coat of paint on it "Team Hooters"?) Could still come in at a fraction of a used RV and being compact, a better hauler. And I can set up a small simpit area within the Adventure Truck Simulator itself (these things come equipped with a gaming chair installed !!!!)
