I have a pretty serious system I use for CAD development, content development and gaming. My experience with 3.0 has been an average of 18FPS regardless of the load, players on line, or what I am doing or where I am. I am posting this for those without crazy rigs that feel all would be better, “if just I had X” If you have the minimum CPU/RAM and an SSD, chances are you are not going to see a huge improvement by going ‘uber’ My rig: · 16 core i9-7960X (unparked) running at 4.4ghz (4.6 GHZ Turbo mode, which it never hits, because SC never uses enough resources) · 128GB 3600 RAM · 11Gig 1080ti OC to 1708 · Game and OS on separate drives, both are SSD Samsung 850PRo with 569 transfer rates · 1200W power supply · Windows 10/64, all drivers fresh and new, all under a clean boot with minimal system apps running. · Internet connection speed 267gps down 12gps up Direct LAN Ping test North bay California to San Francisco (major hub) 17-20ms. Ping Test North bay California to NY (routed likely through SF) 76-92ms. · Monitor 3440x1440 native 100MHZ (G-sync on or off made no change) After some testing, my system and internet connection are nowhere near being tasked. (this is running windows and task manager, so you can knock off about 3% as that is more or less my idle system use) · Ethernet 1.2 gbs (7gbs available) 16% Use · CPU 33% Use · Memory 11% Use · GPU 34% Use · Drive use, less than 3% most of the time This was full load in combat in the PTU, the system was not breaking even average use.... The fans and cooler never went above quite mode. Still 18fps as an average. So in closing, I think your location in regards to the server is far more important once you meet the minimum game requirement. Save your $$ and wait for 3.1 to see what changes and if you need to upgrade. Have fun, fly safe.
