They Killed ship mining is dead in 3.14 I am going to copy and paste someone else's comment about mining because he did so without cursing. "Just did my first 3.14 mining run in a Prospector. Scanning is a mess. Major loss of time efficiency. 1) Previously scanned large rocks no longer have a have a tick-mark to distinguish them from unscanned rocks. 2) Scanning broken rock pieces is always slow and sometimes unresponsive. Major loss of time efficiency. 3) After scanning a rock piece and scanning the next piece, the first pieces data is forgotten and you need to re-scan the first piece again. This slows the process dramatically. It makes it impossible to effectively track quant pieces that you want to harvest. Time efficiency is a key factor in mining. Current scanning problems effectively castrate the previously profitable mining process. Great job CIG... in my opinion you broke mining. [5:14 PM] That's not even mentioning the new issue of evaluating rock quality that I was talking about with calculations above. But that's primarily a solo Mole problem (you have to go to a laser position before you can do a quantitative scan that includes Inert materials percentage). With Prospector both initial scan and quantitative scan (with inert%) can be done from the same seat. [5:15 PM] Booooooo... not happy with what CIG did with mining. First rule for everything: If it's not broken, don't 'fix' it." So it seems to me that no one did any mining testing for 3.14. You can't even read the content of the rocks properly. I guess this is one way to fix the mining glitch!!! $@#^$&*
