I installed 3.2 today, fresh, using the installer from the website. Download and installation completed without issue on a new hard drive bought around a month ago, with which I have had no problems thus far. The game starts fine from the launcher and I was able to create a character. Upon trying to load in to Crusader, however, the game spends almost 10 minutes on a loading screen before one of two things happen: The game crashes to desktop without an error message. The launcher informs me that the game closed unexpectedly (really?) and recommends verification of install files OR My screen goes completely black and no further input is accepted. Ctrl-Alt-Del, Alt-F4, Alt-Tab all do nothing. The only way to return to my desktop is a hard reset, something I'm not very keen on doing often. Verifying the install files results in a download of the manifest before being presented with the Launch Game button again. No files are repaired or redownloaded, it seems. My system specs are as follows: Windows 10 Home, Version 1803, Build 17134.112, 64 bit nVidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 16 GB RAM Intel i7-3770 3.40 GHz Windows is installed on an SSD, a different drive to that Star Citizen is installed to. SC's install drive has >2 TB of free space. The RAM is less than a year old and hasn't given me trouble anywhere else. My paging file is set up with a large excess of free space on another hard drive upon which neither SC nor Windows is installed. My graphics driver is up to date (v. 398.36, rel. 26 June). I suspected some other software was interfering with the game loading, so I took a gander at the support pages and disabled Steam, Discord and nVidia overlays as recommended. This did not produce any noticeable improvement. I've also tried setting all graphics options to their minimum values without improvement. I was able to run 3.0 on an older setup (older RAM and earlier version of Win10 and graphics drivers) without problems. EDIT: FIXED by installing to SSD.
