There are at least two other VM platforms that currently run SC just fine. One is a pay-as-you-go, but with persistent memory, and one has monthly plans. I have used both since this went down and they operate perfectly (makes you wonder WTF EAC has against Shadow). 1) Airgpu: hourly rate (but you only have to download SC once). Rates determined by performance needs which makes SC pricey. It'll bridge the gap until shadow comes back. 2) Stim.io: Same as before, cost determined by need, but they have a monthly plan that rivals Shadow (better RAM if I remember) So, while the overgrown and certainly overpaid businesses bicker at the expense of the customer - there are at least two alternatives to satiate your cravings for a glitchy mess of a space sim...
