So, I've been watching my voltages very closely since the AMD/ASUS exploding CPU fiasco. I've noticed quite a few times that SoC, VDD voltage and average die temperature spike, all at the same time. The die temp has gone as high as 110 degrees, while the voltages go well above what's safe (over 2 volts sometimes). It's very short-lived, perhaps a single sample, but it's very concerning. I have a ticket opened with ASUS. It seems that they may already know about this and are investigating based on the language in their email. I just wanted to warn anyone with an AMD processor or ASUS board, especially AM5 products in case you wanted to check for yourself. I'll be happy to help anyone set up the monitoring if they want. I'm not sure if this is a real voltage spike (I suspect it is), or just a funny sensor error. In the meantime, I've disabled any and all overclocking features in the BIOS in the hopes that keeps things under control until a solution can be found.
