This is partly a request for help in diagnosis and partly to offer a work around for others who might be having the issue. First off, my rig specs (I think I'm fine here, though a video card and RAM upgrade might be in the cards later this year): -AMD 8350, 3.8 GHz, 8 core (not OC'd) -NVidia GTX 970 -16 GB Ram -500 GB SSD Finally had time after Christmas to download 3.0 Live and try testing it out. The new Launcher installs and runs fine, but when I launched the game, I'd get the initial CIG/SC splash screen with the distant Idris (?), sun and planetary bodies. First in windowed mode, then in full screen. Then... nothing. Black screen. A couple of flickers, but nothing after. The menu never loads. Let me repeat that, because I know that a long black screen after choosing Crusader is typical. The menu does NOT load. No music either. I can Tab-Alt out back to the desktop, so the machines isn't locked up. During this process, when the splash screen is loading, and if my timing is perfect, I can bring up the console. The last line is, "The game does not exist". I have verified and reinstalled into two different locations. No bueno! Then I noticed a Windows alert that says what's in the subject line of this post: "Application blocked by the graphics adapter. (StarCitizen.exe)". I actually get two alerts per failed launch. After much searching and reading, I have tried the following with inconsistent results: -Disabled Windows Firewall: This allowed the game to load once and then crash (maybe or maybe not related). -Disabled all Windows Defender: The game loaded, I thought the problem was resolved. Played for 30 minutes before my ship stood on its nose at Yela, preventing me from getting back inside. Logged out then in, and another failed launch. -Closed GeForce Experience in system tray. The game loaded successfully. As long as all of those things are closed/off, the game will load about once every 3-4 attempts. Like I said, still a problem, but some workarounds. Any additional thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
