Copying my reddit post since it got... no responses, but TL;DR I rolled back my GPU drivers a few months and now EAC is stopping me from launching the game because it doesn't trust an associated .dll related to my AMD drivers. Is there any fix I haven't tried or do I just have to update my drivers (which would then break steamvr) ? As the title says, I can't get into the game and it spits out Error 3221225477, aka 0xC0000005 exception access violation (tried to access memory but couldn't), and EAC throws a tantrum that it doesn't trust system file atidxx64.dll. I have: - Run sfc /scannow and confirmed that there's no issue with the file in question. - Done a complete reinstall of the game and still had the same issue. - Manually confirmed the atidxx64.dll file still exists. - Run other games with EAC and it is only this game that throws this tantrum. -Regedit'd Star Citizen to boost its priority. -Reinstalled my drivers. I have had similar issues with EAC not trusting a different system file before, and reinstalling fixed that, but did not fix this. I did recently roll back my AMD drivers for my RX 6600XT a few months due to recent AMD updates essentially breaking SteamVR. Rolling the drivers back fixed it, but now EAC is refusing to let me launch Star Citizen. Words cannot describe how much I absolutely despise that godawful pos anti-cheat, and combing through the internet for potential fixes to any of these issues have came up nothing, and I fear the only solution may be updating my AMD drivers again, which would just break SteamVR again. To be clear, I am on AMD 25.4.1, if this is a known issue, please let me know. I'm bashing my head against EAC and my GPU trying to fix this and coming up with nothing. I haven't tried updating my GPU drivers to the most modern version to see if that fixes it, as doing so would require rolling them back if I wanted to do anything VR.
