I received error code 5009 when trying to update the game. I was playing the game all this week fine until now, but this patch has stopped me from installing and updating from the launcher. Below are links to the posts that go back as far as 15 months, yet no solution has been found? I have tried all these troubleshooting steps, including a few of my own like installing the launcher on another hard drive and even another pc that never had star citizen installed before. Still this issue persists. This is the second patch this has happened for me, and the last time it happened, I had to wait a whole month until the next patch was dropped until I could update again. I filed a ticket with the issue council back then as well and nothing was done to fix this then, and today shows that its still not a priority for CIG, especially since the spectrum post first appeared 15 months ago. As a long-time backer, I am extremely disappointed that despite following all suggestions to report this on the issue council, issues like this continue to be ignored for months or even years. As a player, it feels like each patch is just thrown over the fence and the issues are another can to kick down the road for a future patch.
