Just a red flag on this subject and i did put in a bug report today. Just wanted to share my experience because It has happened to me twice now and i hate to see others have the game crash and lose their progress and ingame currency. I believe there is a bug with looting the small dark gray crates that players leave around especially if they are not in the general vicinity upon your discovery. I have done so and upon doing so yesterday for the 2nd time I once again had the game bug out badly which caused me not to be able to continue to play. I ended up having to logout due to losing control of my character and both times I was sent back to my home base and ended up in my room or dead in scrubs and lost everything. So until this is proven as a bug I am just tossing up the red flag and if you randomly find a small loot crate a player dropped because they wanted to share don't open it and loot items it may cause your game to crash shorty after interacting with it or you may lose control of your character and have to log out and restart which caused me to lose my progress and ingame currency. My last experience was yesterday and this has happened to me twice now that's why i am posting this. I flew from Area 18 to Arial mining facility. I landed and went into storage building and purchased a full load of Laranite. I then looted the game generated large lite gray crates for a few bottles of drinks. I noticed a small dark loot crate a player had dropped. I investigated it and saw a nice helmet and looted item and put in my personal inventory. I then left storage and went to my ship and sat in the flight seat and my character was sitting with arms straight out like he was still holding the small loot crate. I tried many things to resolve this like toggling between the F4 view and getting out of seat and returning. I also left the ship and returned to sit in seat many times nothing worked. I decided to get in my bed in the ship thinking I could logout and return quickly which would resolve this glitching. Note I did also try to fly but i could only use the space bar to go straight up or the CTL button to go down, I lost control of flying so i could not return to Area 18. Upon returning to the game after getting in bed i found myself in Area 18 and my ship still at Arial. Knowing i would have to put in claim to get my ship I knew i had just lost 132k for the second time in two days from my Laranite purchases because putting in claim and moving your ship makes all your cargo gonzo. Yesterday something like this happened and I flew my 2nd ship a fighter to the mining facility where my ship was, the consol at Area showed my ship was still there with the cargo. Upon arriving my ship was no longer on landing pad so i visited the flight management building and yes my ship was there in storage yet when i tried to claim it to put it back on the pad it gave me a message that my ship was to large to spawn at this facility. So it wasn't to large to store there yet it was to large to spawn so i didn't lose my cargo, figure that one one out this is a no brainer over sight in the development of the game. So be careful, looting those small dark crates may cause your game to bug out, beware of Greeks baring Gifts!
