Since 3.15, I've been experiencing a 100% usage on my CPU while playing Star Citizen. The CPU usage doesn't change if I'm in the middle of space or in a City like Area 18. I currently using a Intel® Core™ i7-1165G7 Processor (Q3'20 laptop CPU). I found an old Forum post about the same issue (December 2017)*, it was stated that disabling the last core "threads 6 and 7" would lower the overall CPU usage. My CPU usage dropped down to/between 89% and 97%. Not sure what is happening but it's better than being bottlenecked at 100%. Is anyone having the same issue currently and would know if it's on CIG side or if my CPU is just not compatible with Star Citizen anymore. Sad emoji face I haven't tried disabling other threads yet, maybe it would improve my situation further. I have also looked into that "battle Encoder Shirase" but it seems so old that it should not be relevant to Star Citizen anymore, not sure if I'm going to try it. Any advice ? Game is running at high settings with "Border-less Window", motion-blur off and all the rest at medium (volumetric clouds off). *https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/4/thread/getting-rid-of-the-100-cpu-spike-lag-spikes Experienced people or those who had a similar issue, I would greatly appreciate insights on this. Thanks ps. I forgot to mention that at random times (while playing Star Citizen only), the CPU usage would drastically drop to ~50% with 20FPS until I Alt+Tab out of the game and wait 10 seconds to come back in. Bringing back my FPS. I ruled out thermal throttling and other temperature-related performance and I know I have enough RAM or GPU power.
