Extremely strange thing. My daughter's computer actually runs well - 20-25 FPS in the landing zones, 30-40 FPS in space. But the first 3-5 minutes after spawning are hell. During this time you can't play because the game has extreme dropouts - it freezes completely again and again in short succession. The FPS temporarily goes down to 3 or 4. As I said, I only observe this effect immediately at launch - the more time passes after the start, the faster it gets - and sometimes when a lot of assets are streamed in or out (approaching or leaving a big landing zone or station - but not always). Here are the specs: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X 6x 3.60GHz Gigabyte B450 Aorus M AMD B450 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200 DIMM CL16-18-18-36 (4 x 8 ) 8GB ASRock Radeon RX Vega 56 Phantom 1TB WD Blue M.2 2280 SATA 6Gb/s 3D-NAND TLC (WDS100T2B0B) Windows 10 It's not the best system, I know, but last year it ran flawlessly with StarCitizen and even now with 3.16.1 the FPS - except for the stuttering / dropouts at the beginning and sometimes in between - are very okay. The system installation is clean and new, the drivers are all up to date, no other stuff in the background (at least nothing I know). The internet connection has 120mbit/s. My computer is connected to the same internet (same router) and runs like hell - no problem at all. As I said, I suspect the problem is somewhere in the streaming of assets in conjunction with the M.2 SSD and the 32GB RAM (??) - it almost feels like the CPU can't handle the amount of data and calculate the world at the same time. On the other hand, the system is never even close to full load: during the dropouts and freezes in the first few minutes after spawning, neither the CPU nor the graphics card do anything - all the fans even go out because the system has nothing to do!! Maybe one of you has an idea. I have tried practically everything. Apart from this problem, the performance of the computer is really good.
