I have spent many hours messing with the game and it's settings. I need to make a few points about this before we start: 1. This is an alpha release game and which server you hit makes a large difference. 2. Even though a lot of the optimization is server-bound, we can make a huge difference for many players by changing some simple things. Observations in-game - All of this is as long as you have the appropriate hardware to run the game. 1. Very little in the graphics options make an FPS difference. The motion blur is good for a few fps (1-3~ avg from what I have seen). The FOV makes the biggest overall difference. 2. VSync can help some machines lose stutter. 3. Unless your hardware is not up to par you will see almost no difference from Low to Very high. Let's get to the tweaks! WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALL OF THE CPU TWEAKS ARE DONE AT YOUR OWN RISK! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AMD Newer Ryzen and FX series 8 core + processors: I have the biggest fixes for this series of processors. I went from 6-11 FPS to 25+ average just by downcoring my CPU. All of it is server depend, but I have seen up to 62 FPS. To get the best FPS, you will actually need to downcore your processor. To do this: For Ryzen series you MUST do this through BIOS in the AMD Zen options. You need to set the processor to downcore into 4+0 mode and ensure simultaneous multi-threading is off if that applies. Note: THIS MUST BE 4+0 MODE, this will not work in 4+4 or 3+3 mode. Tips: For my 1950x I had to really over-volt the CPU to do this, this was a standard option in the MOBO I purchased but it may not be for you. OVERVOLTING CAN CAUSE CPU DAMAGE. I have done this a ton on AMD procs and have had 0 issues with proper cooling, just watch your temps and dont go crazy. AGAIN THIS IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. FX Series- This series has a gaming mode inside of AMD Overdrive. Download AMD Overdrive from the AMD website. You need to then set the proc into 4 core boost mode. Intel or 4 core Ryzen: Unfortunately the way that everything is coded right now we do not have a lot of specific processor tweaks. The good news is you get most of the frames you should! Graphics cards: Nvidia: Adjust your pre-rendered frames. I recommend 1-2. Play around with it to find the best FPS for you. MOST IMPORTANT SETTING! AMD: Ensure your Vsync is set properly, I do not recommend using FreeSync just yet. (See Wait for Vertical refresh section ) Power: Turn your power adjustment to +20%, Google how to do this for AMD and Intel. Maximum Tessellation: I recommend to override this to 8x max for most computers. Set higher at your own possible FPS loss. Anti-Aliasing: You can override this at your choice. I prefer the card aliasing so I override this to 16x. I recommend 8x for most computers. Wait for vertical refresh: I recommend overriding this and turning it to always on or always off depending on your machine. Mine works better in always on. If you do this ensure to turn off vsync in game. Anistropic Filtering: Override, I recommend 4x or 8x depending on your hardware. Mine runs fine on 8x. Frame Rate Target Control: Disable this with the bad optimization right now. Surface format optimization and Morphological Filtering: On. Shader Cache: AMD/Intel Optimized. Texture Filtering Mode: Performance (Or Quality, use at your own FPS Risk.) OpenGL Triple Buffering: (Off or On still playing with this one, does not seem to make any real difference so far)
