I understand that this game is in alpha and that there will likely be wipes. I understand that there are some issues with persistence, and hopefully some of that will be solved with a newly developed inventory system. My problem is that 3.10 did not have a universal wipe. Some players kept their ships, components, weapons, armor, etc. and some are missing 90% or more of their hard-earned rewards. Some players kept everything while some got the shaft. And the aUEC was not reset. So, your "tHiS is AlPhA, tHere wiLl bE WiPeS" argument is invalid. Personally I do not take advantage of certain exploits in game, I prefer to play the game as intended and immerse myself in the universe, playing combat missions, occasionally doing a box run, or looking for a missing crew. Constant trading missions bore me, and mining is not the worst, but just not my thing. So basically there is no way for me to get rich quick in the game, like so many seem to obsess on. I like to stop at stations and planets and explore what the game has to offer, repairing, rearming, and refueling, getting a bite to eat and washing it down with an ice-cold Pips. I always take an extra bottle of water with me just in case. The costs add up, but this is how the game is intended to be played. Obviously it took me months to earn enough to buy myself a new ship, only to lose it two days later. This is not fun. I cannot justify supporting a game that does this to players. I have already spent hundreds of dollars on this game between myself and my girlfriend. I was ready, before 3.10 went live, to spend more money on this game so that I could bring two more friends in with ships and a larger ship that we could all use together. I have changed my mind.
