The "Mhz" of your Ram is more importend than you think!! Trust me! I started StarCitizen with a Intel i5 2400, GeForce 1050 ti, SSD Samsung and 16GB DDR 3 Ram with 1333 Mhz (Keep that in Mind) Fresh Server 15 FPS but most of the Time 7-10FPS... I buyed a new Mainboard and CPU =>MSI Board and i7 3770 but it was exactly the same. A friend also playing StarCitizen but he has more than 20 FPS everytime, i looked at his Computer and there was just one thing he overclocked his CPU and Ram. After a few tests we noticed something.. With 1333 Mhz Ram (always 16 GB) Star Citizen needs +/- 7 GB of your Ram => FPS max. 10 With 1333 Mhz Ram overclocked to 1600 Mhz it needs also +/- 7 GB Ram but => FPS 12-17 With 1600 Mhz Ram it needs +/- 6 GB Ram => + 20 FPS With 1600 Mhz Ram overclocked to 1800 Mhz (1888 - 2000) it needs 5-6 GB Ram and => min. 20 FPS (also with a lot of other players, most of the time i got 30 FPS) (Testet with Intel i7 3770, GeForce 1050 ti, SSD) You dont need a lot of Ram you just need fast Ram!!! Today i will test it with the i5 2400.
