Quick guide on how to make your own User.cfg if you need it. In my case I am using it to reduce some graphics settings not available in-game. First create a new file in the game folder, name it User then edit the file type from .txt to .cfg: https://ibb.co/SwM1LKyb. Next you need to edit the file and follow the guide at the top of this command list (updated 19 June 2025). An example of what the file looks like (I am using): pastebin.com/raw/7w4acNLa. If I wanted to use the in-game FPS limiter, I would remove the # at the start, the # means its ignored and not used. Note you can use AMD chill, set to say 40/40 FPS, and use VSync at the same time, and get 40 FPS. ==== Additional note, if your GPU heats up a lot on planet-moon surfaces, you can reduce scatter distance in the attributes.xml file. Location: StarCitizen\LIVE\User\Client\0\Profiles\Default | edit <Attr name="ScatterDist" value="X"/> Change X to a lower value, 20 reduces draw distance for small objects like rocks to around 1km, 80-120 is enough.
