I have been playing this game since approx 2016 - I attempted to install the 3.22.0a update a couple days ago and it failed and now I'm sort of stuck. I found several similar posts with a lot of different suggested fixes which include things such as ensuring DNS is set to obtain address automatically and even one post suggesting to change DNS to cloudflare entries of 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1. This did not help. I have verified firewall and even disabled (temporarily) my firewall. No help. I have performed a complete uninstall of starcit and the launcher including removing all references in %appdata%. I also removed all 'starcitezen' refrences from windows registry. I have a samsung SSD, and i have read posts about the samsung ssd being a potential root cause. That said, I do have the latest drivers and firmware for my SSD installed. After the complete removal and attempting install, I've tried next steps of just removing the data.p4k file from installdirectory\StarCitizen\LIVE Some interesting entries in the %appdata%\Roaming\rsilauncher\logs log file include.... { "t":"2024-01-27 06:46:53.416", "[browser][info] ": { "event": "AUTHENTICATION_SUCCESSFUL", "data": { "heapAccountId": { "cookie": "_rsi_device", "key": "X-RSI-Device" } } } }, { "t":"2024-01-27 06:46:53.823", "[browser][error]": "[Error] getGameClientReleaseObject - {\"code\":\"ERR_INVALID_ARG_TYPE\"}" }, { "t":"2024-01-27 06:46:53.825", "[browser][info] ": { "event": "SELECT_GAME_SUCCESSFUL", "data": { "platform": "prod", "gameId": "SC", "channelId": "LIVE" } AND { "t":"2024-01-27 07:28:45.127", "[browser][info] ": "Error installing at E:\\StarC\\StarCitizen\\LIVE: Error: retrieve_remote_file_list error: NETWORK FATAL ERROR: schannel: failed to receive handshake, SSL/TLS connection failed\n" }, { "t":"2024-01-27 07:28:45.139", "[browser][info] ": { "event": "INSTALLER@INSTALL_FAILED", "data": { "error": { "name": "InstallerError", "message": "retrieve_remote_file_list error: NETWORK FATAL ERROR: schannel: failed to receive handshake, SSL/TLS connection failed\n" } } } }, I know there are similar posts to this one, however, I have not found a solution and wanted to track this issue under my own post. Thank you all for any insight and assistance
