So this is a new issue for me, on my previous installation of windows with 7900xtx never experienced this and with same keyboard. Now few months later with 5090 installed and reinstalled windows, I'm having this problem in only star citizen, (briefly in KCD2 harder to trigger less, other cry engine games have this reported fair bit? like hunt show down) I'm desperate for this to get fixed because its making the game completely unplayable. _______________________________ What happens: I press 1-2+ keys while moving mouse to look or move ship and will have randomly a key stick, could be z, could be w a s d, shift, alt, c, etc. Seems agnostic to the keys used and roughly feels like a 5% chance to happen, like it missed the input where i released the key, and its stuck down. When this happens if i open chat in game it'll type the letter if its a letter thats stuck. Finding, pressing this key again will fix it until it happens again. So this means getting stuck sometimes walking around and it isn't always as easy as just hitting WASD, sometimes other keys interfere with it and will keep moving until hit one of them like shift etc. This causes me untold amounts of frusteration in all types of gameplay in SC and makes game unplayable These issues happen just as easily at 200fps in AC as 50-60 fps in PU System configuration: OS: Windows 11 CPU: 7950x3d (per core CO for just x3d cores and PBO on) Memory: Gskill 5600cl28 (running at 6200cl30 stability checked with Tm5 Extreme for 12 hours + use for many months 0 Bluescreens or errors) Mobo: Asrock x670e Taichi (3.12.AS02) GPU: Zotac 5090 Solid OC (latest driver as of May 19th) PSU: Seasonic Vertex 1200 Display: LG 3840x1600 144hz main display, and 2x 1440p displays for secondary Cooling: Custom Loop for CPU, waiting on GPU block, all temps are monitored and kept cool Keyboard: Zoom75 (Wired, Bluetooth, 2.4ghz all effected), GMMK Pro (wired effected), crappy 2.4ghz wireless keyboard from my server (effected) Mouse: Logitech G502x plus (Wireless, normal desktop profile) What I've tried: Reinstalling game, restarting system Switching keyboards and USB locations or even no USB by using bluetooth (Tested on GMMK pro, Logitech G710+, cheap 2.4ghz keyboard for server, and zoom75 at all connection types) Switching to a new mouse/keyboard Closing all background applications, and disconnecting all other USB connections (no controllers are connected wirelessly or wired, never even used controller yet on this install of windows) Limiting Star citizens Frame rate to 60 or 48 fps Sticky keys disabled in windows, and everything on that screen. Shift+Alt Language keybind removed PTT key swapped in regedit to F13 from Caplock, though issue didn't ever require PTT to be pressed. Switching mouse polling rates from 1000->500->250->125 DDU (safe mode) and installing latest gpu driver, installing with and without nvidia app disabling gsync in monitor and in nvidia control panel ______________________________ Im not sure what else I can try but I really want this to be fixed I am struggling to test the game let alone play it casually for any enjoyment, this doesn't effect other games I'm playing and would be extremely obvious if it occured in any of them, play games and on pc 8-12+ hours a day so this is a unique issue and only is in SC. EDIT appears it was 1 application that wasn't running but had background tasks that i missed in my prior cleaning. Synergy 3.2.1 for some reason has some conflicts with SC for my specific config, just having background task and a background PC that isn't being controlled even is enough to make it do it but in no other game. Confusing.
